On the morning of September 29, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to award a Certificate of Merit to Thach Chi Khang (a 5th grade student at Tran Quoc Tuan Primary School).
Khang was awarded a Certificate of Merit for his outstanding achievements and bravery in saving people in a serious murder case of 3 people in a family. The incident occurred on September 13 in Thanh Nhat ward.
Accordingly, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee decided to award the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to Thach Chi Khang and with bonuses according to regulations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - shared: "I really admire, admire and commend Khang's brave action.
Hopefully, students in the area will try to follow Khang's example in studying, practicing, cultivating ethics, strong will, and courage to save people".

According to Mr. My, these good qualities do not come naturally, but need to be practiced and cultivated daily to help people and life. Hopefully, the school and the education sector will create conditions for Khang to develop comprehensively both in terms of study and physical fitness.
Dak Lak Provincial Police need to consider this a typical example in crime prevention and control at the grassroots level. From there, summarize, evaluate and apply Khang's shining example to the work of propaganda and community education.
At the ceremony, Viettel Dak Lak presented Thach Chi Khang with a savings book worth 40 million VND.
As Lao Dong reported, at around 1:00 a.m. on September 13, the subject named Nguyen Nam Dai Thuan went to the house of Ms. N.T.K.H (residing in Thanh Nhat Ward, Dak Lak Province).
After arriving at the house, Thuan used a knife to stab and slash the members of the house repeatedly. As a result, Ms. H, Ms. T.T.D (Ms. H's mother), Mr. B.V.N (Ms. H) died in the house.
T.T.P (born in 2012, H's son) was seriously injured but could still run.
Hearing the cry for help, Thach Chi Khang (12 years old, living near the wall) immediately opened the door. Seeing P bleeding profusely from his arm, he immediately took him into the house and locked the door tightly to prevent the perpetrator from approaching him.
In fear, Khang took water for his friend to drink, temporarily stopped the bleeding and held the door tight until the police arrived at nearly 3am.
After that, P was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
