This year, Hanoi National University of Education plans to enroll 4,995 students in 50 majors and training programs, including 5 new majors: Biotechnology, Physics (semiconductor physics and engineering), History, Sociology, Vietnamese language and culture.
The three admission methods announced by the school are admission based on high school graduation exam scores; direct admission and priority admission; admission based on specialized competency assessment scores organized by Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education.
Notably, in method 2 - Direct admission, priority is given to candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements. In addition to familiar foreign language certificates or international competency certificates, MOS IT certificates become a condition for candidates to enter the priority group. Specifically, method 2 is as follows:
This method is applied to 2 objects: XTT1 and XTT2, in which XTT2 has a lower priority than XTT1.
XTT1 subjects include candidates who are eligible for direct admission according to Clause 1, Clause 2 - Article 8 of the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Regulations.
Meanwhile, for XTT2 candidates (except for Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy), the school stipulates that, in addition to achieving Good conduct for all 6 semesters and Excellent academic results for 3 years, candidates must satisfy one of the following conditions (in order of priority from highest to lowest):
- Candidates are students of provincial/municipal teams or teams of specialized high schools affiliated with universities participating in national excellent student selection exams or national science and technology research competitions.
- Candidates are students of specialized high schools (or pedagogical practice high schools under Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education), winning first, second, third prizes in high school competitions for excellent students or scientific and technical research competitions at provincial/central city/university level.
- Candidates are students of specialized high schools or pedagogical practice high schools under Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education.
- Candidates are students from other high schools who won First, Second, Third prizes in high school competitions for excellent students or scientific and technical research competitions at the provincial/municipal/university level; or candidates with international foreign language certificates: IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC; DELF/TCF; HSK and HSKK; MOS international IT certificate (for all three skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint); the date of issue of the certificate is no more than 2 years from May 19, 2025.
