Accordingly, this year the school plans to enroll 4,995 students in 50 majors and training programs, including 5 new majors: Biotechnology, Physics (semiconductor physics and engineering), History, Sociology, Vietnamese language and culture.
The University of Education applies 3 admission methods, specifically as follows:
Method 1: Admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025
This method is applied to all training programs, admission is based on the total score of the combination of 3 graduation exam subjects and priority bonus points according to the policy target area according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
For the majors of Preschool Education, Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy, candidates must also take the 2025 Aptitude Test organized by Hanoi Pedagogical University to obtain the aptitude test score for admission combined with the graduation exam score.
In addition, the admission floor score will be announced by the school after the Ministry of Education and Training announces the threshold to ensure input quality for teacher training majors.
Method 2: Direct admission, priority given to candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements
This method is applied to 2 objects: XTT1 and XTT2, in which XTT2 has a lower priority than XTT1.
XTT1 subjects include candidates who are eligible for direct admission according to Clause 1, Clause 2 - Article 8 of the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Regulations.
Meanwhile, for XTT2 candidates (except for Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy), the school stipulates that, in addition to achieving Good conduct for all 6 semesters and Excellent academic results for 3 years, candidates must satisfy one of the following conditions (in order of priority from highest to lowest):
- Candidates are students of provincial/municipal teams or teams of specialized high schools affiliated with universities participating in national excellent student selection exams or national science and technology research competitions.
- Candidates are students of specialized high schools (or pedagogical practice high schools under Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education), winning first, second, third prizes in high school competitions for excellent students or scientific and technical research competitions at provincial/central city/university level.
- Candidates are students of specialized high schools or pedagogical practice high schools under Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education.
- Candidates are students from other high schools who won First, Second, Third prizes in high school competitions for excellent students or scientific and technical research competitions at the provincial/municipal/university level; or candidates with international foreign language certificates: IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC; DELF/TCF; HSK and HSKK; MOS international IT certificate (for all three skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint); the date of issue of the certificate is no more than 02 years from May 19, 2025.
In method 2, Hanoi National University of Education also announced detailed regulations for the majors of Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy in the Admissions Plan.
Method 3: Admission based on specialized competency assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education
Admission scores are determined according to the admission combination by this method for each training major, converted to a 30-point scale and calculated with priority points according to region and policy subjects according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The school will announce the admission score threshold according to PT3 after the Ministry of Education and Training announces the threshold to ensure input quality for teacher training majors.
At the same time, regarding the general admission requirements for all training majors and admission methods, candidates need to graduate from high school and have training results (conduct) of all 5 semesters of Good or higher.
For pedagogy majors, candidates must have a good academic record in 3 years of high school or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher. For Physical Education, Music Pedagogy and Fine Arts Pedagogy majors, candidates must have a good academic record in 3 years or a graduation score of 6.5 or higher.
