Middle and high school students are instructed at 2:00 p.m. at Long Thoi High School, 280 Nguyen Van Tao Street, Long Thoi Commune, Nha Be District.
However, at the counseling point at Long Thoi High School, there were quite a few parents who came to receive advice.
A parent participating in the consultation said: "Currently, the family is still researching and has not yet decided which school to choose for their child to continue studying."
Meanwhile, another parent said she had asked to transfer her child to a middle school in District 7. "My child will soon take the entrance exam and that's it," the parent said.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that through review, as of the evening of August 27, there were about 360 students who had not yet transferred schools. The total number of students at American International School is about 1,000.
"For the remaining number, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has worked with the district Departments of Education and Training and Thu Duc City to distribute them to appropriate schools. At the same time, today's meeting is organized to guide for parents to change schools, helping students settle down early at the beginning of the school year," Mr. Quoc informed.
The transfer of schools is carried out by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City based on a number of contents such as information on student identification with residence information, checking with Project 06 to accurately review and distribute to schools in different areas. locality to suit your current residence.

The American International School is being suspended by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City from July 1, 2024 (12-month suspension period) due to not ensuring teaching conditions, because there are not enough financial resources, teachers, and staff.
