On the afternoon of April 20, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the People's Committee of An Nhon town (Binh Dinh) said that he had directed the Department of Education and Training of the town and related schools to coordinate with the police to verify and clarify the case of a female student being assaulted, filming a clip and posting it on social media, causing a stir in public opinion.
"Through grasping, the incident occurred on holidays and outside the school campus. The relevant female students were junior high school students in the town. I assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the police to verify and strictly handle the case," he said.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 19, social networks spread a clip recording a female student being brutally beaten by two other girls in the middle of an empty lot, while the victim could only hold her head and endure the beating, without resisting.
After only a few hours of posting, the clip attracted tens of thousands of interactions and shares. Most viewers expressed their frustration and anger at the violent behavior of this group of female students.
Through initial verification, the incident occurred on March 23 (Sunday) at the new An Nhon market area (Binh Dinh ward, An Nhon town). The victim was N.P.K.V (an 8th grade student at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School). The two female students who participated in beating V were L.B.A.N (class 9 at Dap Da Ward Secondary School, wearing red shirts) and D.T.D.A (class 8 at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School, black and blue shirts). The person standing outside to stir up and film the clip was N.B.Tr (class 9 at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School).
The initial cause of the incident was determined to be that V had a conflict with 2 8th grade female students at Binh Dinh Ward Secondary School through social media (in the same group as N), so N beat V instead.
After learning about the incident, the school asked the female students involved to write a report, recall the clip that had been posted online, and apologize to V's family.
In addition, the school criticized, deterred, and educated the female students in front of all students in the school. Currently, the school is coordinating with Binh Dinh Ward Police to continue investigating, verifying, and clarifying the responsibilities of each individual.
Mr. Truong Dinh Phuong - Deputy Head of the Department in charge of the Department of Education and Training of An Nhon town - said that he had requested the two secondary schools of Binh Dinh and Dap Da wards to report the incident.
" Tomorrow, I will work directly with the principals of the two schools to inspect, rectify and strictly handle it in accordance with industry regulations," said Mr. Phuong.
On the victim's side, Mr. N.V.D (V's parents) confirmed that the police have worked with the relevant parties and are waiting for the handling results from the authorities.
