Information from Da Nang City People's Committee, the construction, procurement of equipment and preparation of operating conditions for 6 inter-level boarding schools in A Vuong, Tay Giang, Hung Son, Dac Pring, La Dee and La Eee communes are being urgently completed.
According to the progress report, so far 4 projects including: Tay Giang, Hung Son, Dak Pring and La Eee have reached over 80% of the volume. Units are urgently cleaning the works, installing teaching equipment, clean water systems and fire prevention and fighting to complete the handover before August 25.
For 2 new projects reaching less than 80% of the volume, A Vuong and La Dee, the city requires contractors to maximize manpower, machinery, and organize continuous construction 24/7 to compensate for progress. Essential items such as classrooms, dormitories, dining rooms, and kitchens must be completed before August 30 according to the principle "finished to where, handed over to there".
Regarding student size, the total number of students in 6 schools is 4,661, of which 4,623 have been mobilized to enroll (reaching 99.2%). The city's education sector has also considered receiving 19 teachers to supplement schools before the opening day.
In addition to construction work, Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh requested Chairmen of Commune People's Committees to proactively mobilize local forces (officials, civil servants, militia...) to coordinate with border guard forces to support cleaning and transporting tables and chairs, not completely relying on the military.
At the same time, city leaders emphasized that safety must be put first, assigning the People's Committees of communes and school principals to directly inspect and strictly control the safety of works, food safety and hygiene of kitchens and student dormitory activities.
According to the plan, Tay Giang Commune Boarding School was chosen as the main venue to organize the opening ceremony combined with the inauguration of the project on September 5. The remaining schools will organize opening ceremonies according to the general guidance of the education sector.
