On the evening of September 20, the University of Science and Technology, University of Da Nang organized an event "Fest to honor valedictorians and welcome new students of the 2025 course - BKSTART".
The event was attended by nearly 4,000 new students of the 2025 course and more than 1,000 students of previous courses. The festival program was vibrant with many attractive activities
At the program, the school honored the new valedictorian of the whole school this year, Dinh Nhu Duy Tue, class 25T_KHDL, Information Technology (specializing in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence), with 29.75 points. Tue was awarded a scholarship of 40 million VND. Along with that, 38 valedictorians of the majors were also honored and received a scholarship of 10 million VND according to the school's admission regulations.
Notably, this year the school welcomed Nguyen Ngoc Minh, a former student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang), a student who won the National Prize in Informatics and was directly admitted to the school. She was awarded an admission scholarship worth 50 million VND.
In addition, the festival also marks the launch of the dDUT - Digital DUT mobile application, a comprehensive digital solution for learning, research and management activities at the University of Science and Technology, Vietnam. The application was developed to bring a convenient and modern experience to students, lecturers and school staff, contributing to promoting digital transformation in higher education.
In particular, the event ended with a vibrant music program with the participation of famous band But Tuong and singer Pham Anh Khoa, promising to bring memorable moments and wonderful experiences to new students.
Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Principal of the University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang said that as a leading technical university in the country, the University of Science and Technology, VNU has constantly strived to affirm its leading role in training highly qualified engineers, developing science and technology, and is a reliable address for businesses and authorities to come to when they need intellectual resources and technical solutions.
With a training scale of more than 18,500 undergraduate students, more than 400 graduate students and more than 60 PhDs. The school is training 41 majors/ master's majors, 18 master's majors, 16 doctoral majors, covering most of the necessary fields of technology engineering, including pioneering majors that are at the forefront of the country's integration trends such as artificial intelligence, microchip design, high-speed railways, energy management... ready to meet the urgent needs of society.
"With the motto of learners as the center, the school always strives to improve the teaching, learning and supporting students. Many modern laboratories and equipment have been invested in by the Ministry of Education and Training, the school's resources and the support of businesses and partners such as the National Key Electromechanical Laboratorate worth more than 40 billion VND were inaugurated at the school's founding ceremony.
In the coming time, the school will continue to upgrade lectures, laboratories, living areas and dormitories to bring the best learning and training conditions for students. In particular, in this semester, the renovation of the dormitory will be inaugurated as well as the regulation in the entire chair", the Principal of the University of Science and Technology emphasized.
