Reducing textbook prices for the 2025 - 2026 school year
The 2025 - 2026 school year is the second school year that the 2018 General Education Program is applied to all grades.
The 3 textbooks selected by high schools across the country to be taught in the coming school year include: Connecting knowledge; Creative Sky; Kite.
According to Lao Dong, at this time, at many large bookstores in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang... the supply of textbooks from grades 1 to 12 of the textbooks is complete. Parents can easily choose and shop for their children.
Speaking to Lao Dong, a representative of Vietnam Education Publishing House (VNA) said that from September 28-30, Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (a member unit of Vietnam Education Publishing House) will reduce the price of 10% for all textbooks and notebooks (applicable to the book series Connecting knowledge with life) on the entire Edubook store system. This is to share the burden of the new school year with parents, ensuring social security.
This is not the first time the unit has launched a preferential policy on textbook prices. In previous school years, the Vietnam Education Publishing House reviewed related cost items many times, especially the cost of organizing the draft, the cost of circulation to reduce the price of textbooks.
The textbook price list is always fully and publicly listed at textbook sales points nationwide; on the general electronic information page of NXBGDVN (at www.nxbgd.vn) and on mass media according to regulations; ensuring accuracy, clarity, no confusion, convenience for customers' observation and recognition; protecting the rights of students and users.
Ensuring abundant supply
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung - Member of the Board of Members, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of NXBGDVN said that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, NXBGDVN will organize the printing of 160.8 million textbooks, of which about 2 - 3% of the reserve output is for use in case of sudden arising, natural disasters, floods... NXBGDVN is a 100% state-owned enterprise, so the organization of bidding for printing textbooks is carried out in accordance with the Bidding Law.
NXBGDVN has developed a SGK printing plan very early to organize printing - importing warehouses in a timely manner to serve its issuance needs. NXBGDVN has completed 100% of the printing - import and storage work and is actively and urgently organizing the supply of SGK to localities.
Up to this point, VBSP has provided 157.8 million SGK copies (reaching 98%) of the plan, ensuring to meet market demand, providing complete and timely SGK before entering the new school year - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung informed.
A representative of Vietnam Education Equipment and Publishing Investment Joint Stock Company - Canh Dieu textbook publishing unit also said that by July 31, the unit had printed and stored 95% of the 2025 plan. Including enough reserves to supplement natural disaster and flood areas.
