On August 28, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, Thu Duc City, held a festival to welcome 10th grade students.
After implementing the project to separate Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted according to the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, this is the first year the school's 10th grade students study at the headquarters in Thu Duc City. This was originally the school's second campus before being divided.
The festival took place with many attractive activities, from fun musical performances to specially prepared and impressive introductions of 25 clubs.
After the introduction, students can experience each club space to understand, know and then confidently register to join their favorite clubs.
Nguyen Truc Vy, a student of class 10CA5, shared that the fact that Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted operates in Thu Duc City is quite convenient for her because she lives nearby. “The school's facilities are quite large and are being invested in a modern way. I am impressed with the school's library," Truc Vy said.
As for Phan Bao Tran, a 10th grade student specializing in English, he was excited: "Before now, I always thought that going to a specialized school was all about studying. Teacher Nguyen Tuan Anh, homeroom teacher of grade 10 English major, said that when he heard that Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted would move back to operate at campus 2 in Thu Duc City, he was quite worried.
"However, during the summer vacation, the Board of Directors promptly repaired, supplemented, and built new classrooms and modern libraries to best serve students. Therefore, up to this point, I very reassuring" - Mr. Tuan Anh shared.
Mr. Pham Thanh Yen - Vice Principal of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted - said that the welcoming day for 10th grade students was organized to create a happy and excited mood for students before entering the new school year.
