On June 29, the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training issued guidance on supplementary enrollment into 10th grade high schools for the 2026-2027 school year for public schools that are still short of targets.
According to the plan, schools that have not recruited enough students according to the assigned targets will continue to organize additional enrollment based on the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training on the plan and enrollment targets for the 2026-2027 school year.
10 additional classes will be strengthened with a total of 450 newly enrolled students.
This additional number is distributed to 9 high schools in the area, including: Nguyen Binh Khiem High School is adjusted to increase the most with 2 classes (90 students); the remaining 8 schools including Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, Dong Hoi High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Le Quy Don High School, Hung Vuong High School, Le Loi No. 2 High School, Le Hong Phong High School and Quang Trung High School are all assigned to increase 1 class (45 students) for each school.
Students can register for supplementary admission online on the province's enrollment system as in the first round or go directly to the high school with their wishes for support. Registration time is from 8:00 AM on June 30 to 5:00 PM on July 8.
The admission is expected to take place on July 10. After having the results, schools will announce the list of admitted students and guide students to complete enrollment procedures according to regulations.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the whole province has 61 general schools and 13 continuing education centers participating in enrollment. The Department of Education and Training assigned 513 new grade 10 classes with 22,775 students in high schools; continuing education centers enroll 59 classes, equivalent to 2,655 students.
To reduce enrollment pressure in areas with a large number of registered candidates such as Dong Hoi, Dong Ha and Ba Don, the education sector has adjusted to increase from 1 to 2 classes in some schools, and at the same time arranged a maximum number of 45 students/class to create more learning opportunities for students after graduating from secondary school.
This scale expansion has increased the total number of new enrollment classes of schools in the list from 101 classes to 111 classes, corresponding to increasing the total number of newly enrolled students from 4,545 to 4,995 students, significantly relieving exam season pressure and expanding opportunities to enter public schools for candidates.
