Accordingly, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026 - 2027 school year will take place on two days, the 28th and 29th. According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 26,608 students registered to enroll in the 10th grade of public high schools.
Meanwhile, the total enrollment targets of public high schools, secondary and high schools, and ethnic minority boarding schools are 19,570 students with 447 classes.
Thus, there are about 7,000 students who will not be able to enter public schools if they do not meet enrollment requirements.

Compared to the first registration period, the total number of applications decreased by 618 applications. According to the Department of Education and Training, the main reason is that some ethnic minority students have switched to registering for ethnic minority boarding schools, some are eligible for direct admission, and some have confirmed vocational training.
Some schools have seen a sharp decrease in the number of applications, such as Chu Van An High School reducing 288 applications, Ly Tu Trong High School reducing 100 applications, and Pham Van Dong High School reducing 78 applications. However, the number of applications to these schools is still high.
Exam questions must ensure differentiation of candidates
One of the notable points of this year's exam is that the requirements for the exam questions are tightened to increase the ability to classify students.
According to the regulations of the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, each exam subject will have 1 official exam and 1 preparatory exam with equivalent levels. The exam content is within the secondary school program, mainly 9th grade knowledge.
The exam questions must ensure accuracy, science and pedagogy; The wording in the questions must be clear and easy to understand. The exam questions must cover the learning content and be able to classify candidates.
For specialized subjects, the exam questions are required to ensure the selection of students with outstanding talents and abilities in that specialized subject.
In addition, essay exam questions must clearly state the score of each question, all exam papers are converted to a 10-point scale. Exam questions from 2 pages or more must clearly state the number of pages and have the word "END" at the end of the question to avoid omissions or confusions.
Candidates who arrive 15 minutes late will not be allowed to take the exam
According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa, candidates must be present on time at the exam location. Those who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the exam time will not be allowed to take the exam.
Each exam room is arranged with no more than 24 candidates and must ensure a minimum distance of 1.2m horizontally between the two students.
For Informatics, each candidate is allowed to use a separate computer. The devices must be completely isolated, not connected to the internet or external data transmission methods.
The Department of Education and Training also clearly stipulates the items allowed to be brought into the exam room, including pens, rulers, and calculators without the function of drafting text or memory cards. For the specialized Math subject, candidates are not allowed to bring calculators into the exam room.
