According to the university and college enrollment plan for 2026 of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the deadline for online enrollment confirmation for phase 1 ends at 5:00 PM on August 21. From August 22, schools that have not recruited enough quotas can announce additional admissions.
Below are the issues candidates need to pay special attention to before the system closes.
Where to confirm enrollment?
Candidates log in to the General Enrollment Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training at: https://thisinh. thitotnghiepthpt. edu. vn using the account used when registering their aspirations.
After logging in, candidates go to the admission result lookup section, check for the correct school and major they are admitted to, and perform the enrollment confirmation operation. The aspiration status needs to be changed to "Enrollment confirmed".
Candidates should take screenshots or save information confirming success as a basis for comparison.
What if you don't confirm before 5 PM?
According to Clause 4, Article 16 of the Enrollment Regulations issued with Circular 06/2026/TT-BGDĐT, candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the prescribed time limit and do not have a valid reason are considered to have refused enrollment. Training institutions have the right not to accept.
Thus, if they forget to confirm before 5 pm, candidates are at risk of losing the first round of admission.
In case it cannot be confirmed due to illness, accident, natural disaster or errors or confusions in the enrollment process, candidates need to contact the school immediately and prepare documents to prove it. The principal of the training institution will consider receiving or preserving the enrollment results according to regulations.
Can you change schools after confirmation?
Clause 5, Article 16 of the Enrollment Regulations stipulates that candidates who have confirmed enrollment at a training institution are not allowed to participate in admission consideration at another school or supplementary admission rounds in the enrollment year, except as permitted by the principal of the admitted training institution.
Therefore, before pressing confirmation, candidates need to consider carefully. If they have confirmed but want to change schools, candidates must contact the school that is holding the admission results to request a resolution.
It has been confirmed but the school has not notified enrollment, what to do?
Enrollment confirmation on the Ministry of Education and Training's system and completing enrollment procedures at the school are two different steps.
After confirming success, candidates need to check email, text message, admission portal or the school's official website to see the admission notice, enrollment schedule, application to be submitted and account for new students. Some schools update data in batches, so the notice may not appear immediately.
If the Ministry's system records "Confirmed enrollment" but after the school's notification time, instructions have not been received, candidates should contact the training department or the admissions department directly for inspection and support.
When is tuition payable?
The Ministry of Education and Training stipulates a common admission confirmation deadline, but the schedule for tuition fee payment and completion of applications is announced by each school. Some schools require tuition fees to be paid immediately upon online admission, while other schools collect after students submit applications or start the school year.
Candidates need to follow the notice and official notice of the school, carefully check the account number, transfer content; do not transfer money via links or accounts sent from unknown sources.
