New joy on opening day
Early in the morning of September 5, children of Truong Son Kindergarten (Truong Son Commune, Quang Ninh District) were present at the school to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year. This year, the school is much more attractive to "children" because the schools are equipped with many new devices.
These are learning and play equipment sets, the summer gifts the school received from Lao Dong Newspaper and the Quang Binh Provincial Labor Federation (LDLĐ) from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund.
Accordingly, the equipment was donated and installed at 6 schools including: Khe Cat, Co Trang, Trung Son, Lien Son, Da Chat, and Cay Su.
Therefore, a week ago, the children were excited to come to their classes at the schools, to meet their friends and experience new games together, such as the spinning wheel, the swing, the bear chair swing...
Dinh Huy (Da Chat school, Truong Son Kindergarten) is still shy, but when encouraged by the teachers, he rushed in with his older friends and siblings to play. When asked if he liked and had fun playing these games, Dinh Huy shyly said: "Yes, it's fun, I really like it."
Seeing the children so excited, the teachers were also happy. Ms. Le Thi Thuy - teacher at Da Chat school - confided: "Just having the children come to class is a joy for the teachers. Our school received both teaching and playing materials, which will help make each lesson more interesting and the children more attentive."
Truong Son Kindergarten is one of the units located in a mountainous commune, in a particularly difficult area, where the majority of the people are ethnic minorities. Therefore, the teaching and learning facilities are still limited, lacking and degraded compared to other schools of the same level in the area.
This gift partly helps the schools overcome initial difficulties, as well as improve the quality of child care and education here.
Principal of Truong Son Kindergarten Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet said that at the beginning of the new year, the schools have more "spice" to make things better. Hopefully, these gifts will be attractive enough to attract children to class, and also full of hope for a new school year with the children's excitement.
More than 246,000 Quang Binh students return to school
Not far away, Truong Son Primary Boarding School and Truong Son Secondary Boarding School were also bustling with the sound of the school drum beating, signaling the start of a new school year. For secondary school, students from far away will stay and study at the school. To prepare students for psychological stability as well as accommodation, the school has prepared in advance and the commune has also implemented support policies for students so that they can study with peace of mind.
Truong Son is a particularly disadvantaged commune in Quang Ninh district with nearly 1,300 households, of which ethnic minorities account for 64%. In addition to the four main schools in the commune, there are 23 satellite schools in the villages. This school year, the whole commune has about 1,500 students.
At the opening ceremony, students from all over the commune came to the main school to attend the ceremony. Hopefully, with the efforts of the school and the commune government to prepare, the students' journey into the new school year will be smoother.
Joining in the opening atmosphere of this school year, more than 246,000 students in Quang Binh province attended the school opening ceremony.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Quang Binh province has 541 schools with 7,935 classes, an increase of 50 classes, and the number of students increased by nearly 2,900 students compared to the 2023-2024 school year.
