On May 6, Mr. Dao Cong Loi - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training said that in 2025, Nghe An province will have 40,384 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam, including 1,422 independent candidates. The exam was held at 72 exam locations, with more than 6,700 people participating in the exam preparation work and 620 people marking the exam.
According to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam will have 6 new points.
First, the exam will have only 3 exams for 4 subjects, instead of 4 sessions as before.Foreign languages have become an optional subject, no longer a mandatory subject.
Second, the exam content is included in the 12th grade program according to the 2018 General Education Program, aiming to assess students' abilities.Literature can use materials other than textbooks.
Third, for the first time, online registration is being deployed, with 100% of grade 12 students successfully completing this form.
Fourth, the rate of high school academic performance scores when considering graduation is increased from 30% to 50%, in order to fully recognize students' regular learning efforts.
Fifth, candidates can use vocational certificates, intermediate vocational certificates, and IT to be exempted from taking exams in some subjects. The foreign language certificate cannot have its scores converted, and is only considered exempt from the exam when meeting the conditions.
Sixth, the process of organizing exams, considering exams and marking exams will be flexibly adjusted, in accordance with practical conditions in the locality.
Nghe An Department of Education and Training said that since the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, schools have been directed to prepare carefully, organize surveys, review and differentiate according to students' abilities, and assign good teachers to take charge of the exam subjects to improve quality, ensuring the exam takes place seriously and effectively.
