According to the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, the whole province has 10,131 registered candidates, including 9,305 12th grade students and 826 independent candidates. The exam is organized at 21 exam sites with 433 exam rooms.
Talking to PV, Mr. Dang Hong Cuong - Deputy Director of Lang Son Department of Education and Training said that this year, the exam takes place in the context that the two-level local government model has become stable after the process of arranging administrative units.
Therefore, the province requests departments, branches, and localities to strengthen coordination to ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously, objectively and create the most favorable conditions for candidates.
At the exam site of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Ms. Le Thi Manh Khuong - Vice Principal of the school - said that this year's exam site has 731 registered candidates.
Including 366 12th grade students of the school, 223 students of Cao Loc Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center and 142 freelance candidates.
The school arranges 29 Math exam rooms, 31 Literature exam rooms, 31 elective exam rooms and one reserve exam room.
In addition, a waiting room located at the multi-purpose house with a capacity of about 800 people is also prepared to serve candidates and their families during the exam period.
Not only preparing well in terms of facilities, the school also implements many activities to support students in difficult circumstances.
According to Ms. Khuong, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted plans to support 1 million VND per student for 9 students in particularly difficult circumstances during the exam period.
For 41 boarding students, the school supports 200,000 VND/student for two exam days to reduce cost pressure.
One of the students who received school support is Doan Yen Nhi, a 12E1 student.
Over the years, Yen Nhi has both studied and worked with her family to overcome difficulties when her father suffered from heart failure, her mother suffered from kidney failure and often had to be treated at the hospital.
Despite her difficult family circumstances, the female student still continuously achieved the title of excellent student and won the Third Prize of National Excellent Student in Literature.
I am very grateful for the school's concern and support during the days of preparing for the exam. This is a great source of encouragement for me to focus on studying," Yen Nhi shared.
The female student said that she was directly admitted to the Literature Pedagogy major, Hanoi National University of Education. According to her, her love for Literature is the motivation to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher in the future.
In addition to loving this subject, I also consider family conditions. The pedagogy major is currently supported with tuition fees, so it will help reduce the economic burden for my parents," Yen Nhi said.
Meanwhile, Hua Huy Hoang, a 12A1 student, said that he is focusing on reviewing his knowledge in the final sprint stage.
After the mock exams, I and my friends have identified the limited knowledge parts to focus on reviewing," Hoang shared.
According to the male student, the companionship of the teachers in the final stage is very meaningful when they regularly organize corrigging questions, answering difficult types of questions and providing psychological advice to students before the exam.
I am still a little nervous but try to keep my spirits relaxed, sleep reasonably and stick to the review plan that has been set out. I hope to achieve good results to get into the major I want," Hoang said.
According to the plan of the Provincial Steering Committee, in addition to fully preparing facilities, the province plans to mobilize about 2,200 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in organizing the exam along with about 200 reserves.
The border education sector also sets a goal to organize the exam safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations, and at the same time mobilize social resources to support students in difficult circumstances.
