The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year will take place on June 1st and 2nd with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam.
According to regulations, candidates must be present at the exam site and exam room on time; present their citizen identification card or registration form when completing exam procedures. In case they have not been issued a citizen identification card, they can use a student card.
If errors are detected regarding full name, date of birth or priority information, candidates should immediately notify the invigilator or person on duty at the exam site for timely handling. In case of loss of citizen identification card or registration form, they must immediately notify the head of the exam site for consideration and resolution.
Candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the test time signal will not be allowed to take that exam session.
In the exam room, candidates must sit in the correct position to write the exam registration number, maintain order and comply with the invigilator's instructions. Items allowed to be brought into the exam room include pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, easers, graph rulers, drawing tools, handheld calculators without text editing function, no memory cards.
Candidates are not allowed to bring documents, information transceiver devices, audio and video recordings, explosives, alcoholic beverages and items serving exam cheating into the exam room.
When receiving the exam questions, candidates must carefully check the number of pages and printing quality. If the questions are missing pages, torn or blurry, they must immediately report to the invigilator within 5 minutes from the start of calculating the exam time.
During the exam period, candidates are not allowed to exchange, copy papers or use documents contrary to regulations. Candidates are only allowed to leave the exam room after completing at least 2/3 of the time and must return the exam paper, exam questions and scratch paper before leaving the exam room.
When there is an end-of-hour signal, candidates must stop doing the exam immediately, preserve the exam paper and sign a full confirmation when submitting the paper.
The 10th grade public school entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year is organized at 242 exam sites, including 226 regular exam sites and 16 specialized exam sites. The total target for 10th grade public schools is about 118,550 students.
Candidates take 3 subjects including Literature, Mathematics and Foreign Language; candidates registering for specialized or integrated classes will take additional subjects accordingly.
