According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT), the benchmark score for 10th grade in public high schools for the 2026-2027 school year is expected to be announced tomorrow (June 30).
After having the admission results, candidates carry out enrollment confirmation on the 10th grade enrollment system of the Department of Education and Training at ts10. hcm. edu. vn, and submit enrollment documents directly at the selected high school according to the school's instructions.
Note that students who are admitted but do not confirm enrollment or do not submit applications on time without a valid reason will be considered to have their admission right denied. Admission results will not be preserved and students will not be allowed to participate in subsequent enrollment rounds, including supplementary enrollment in the same school year.
Regarding supplementary enrollment, the Department of Education and Training said that it will base on the actual enrollment situation to consider organizing if schools still lack quotas. The subjects eligible for supplementary enrollment are students who have participated in the 10th grade entrance exam but were not admitted to all 3 registered aspirations.
Previously, more than 3,100 candidates had confirmed enrollment in specialized schools and schools with integrated English classes. After the virtual filtering process, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training removed the remaining aspirations of this group of candidates in the mass system, thereby releasing quotas and increasing admission opportunities for candidates waiting for admission results to 10th grade public schools.
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City takes place on June 1st with more than 151,000 registered candidates. This is the first year the exam has been organized after Ho Chi Minh City expanded its administrative boundaries on the basis of merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
The 10th grade admission score is usually calculated by the total score of three subjects Literature, Mathematics and English along with priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate exam regulations and have no exam papers with a score of 0.
In the 2026-2027 school year, public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City will enroll about 118,500 students, equivalent to 78% of students taking the exam with a chance of passing.
