Conditions for recognizing high school graduation
Current regulations on considering graduation recognition are as follows:
Candidates who are eligible to take the exam, are not disciplined and have their exam results canceled, all subjects achieved above 1.0 point on a 10-point scale and have a ĐXTN of 5.0 (year) points or higher are recognized for high school graduation.
Candidates who are eligible to take the exam and are exempt from all exams in the high school graduation consideration according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 39 of this Regulation are recognized as high school graduates.
Accordingly, the conditions for graduating from high school in 2026 must fully meet as follows:
- Eligible for the exam
- Not disciplined for canceling exam results
- All exam subjects achieved over 1.0 point on a scale of 10
- Graduation consideration score from 5.0 (years) points or higher
Thus, graduating from high school in 2026 must have a graduation consideration score of 5.0 points or higher and no subject considered for graduation is lower or equal to 01 point.
High school graduation consideration score
High school graduation consideration scores (ĐXTN) include:

- The scores of exam subjects that candidates take to consider high school graduation recognition are converted to a scale of 10 to calculate ĐXTN;
- The average score of school years at the high school level (high school grades of school years) is calculated according to the formula below:

In which, the average score of grade 10, grade 11, grade 12 is the average score of all subjects assessed by the score of each school year. The average score of each school year and the average score of the school years are rounded to 2 decimal places.
- Priority points (ƯT), encouragement points (KK) if any.
The graduation recognition formula is as follows:

Candidates need to note:
DNA is taken up to two decimal places, automatically performed by computer software.
For candidates studying under the GDPT/GDTX Program whose transcripts have calculated the GPA for each school year, this score is used to replace the calculation of the GPA for subjects.
ĐTB for academic years is only calculated based on the academic years that candidates study under the Vietnamese General Education/Continuing Education Program.
