High school graduation score calculation formula
1.22 million candidates nationwide have just completed the 2026 high school graduation exam. The results of this exam are used to consider graduation registration, and at the same time, are the basis for colleges and universities to enroll students.
According to the formula in the High School Graduation Exam Regulations, the graduation consideration score is calculated from the average score of exam subjects, bonus points if any, average scores of school years and priority points if any. The official formula is as follows:
DXTN = {[(Total score of exam subjects / Total number of exam subjects) + (Total bonus points if any / 4)] + DTB for academic years} / 2 + Priority points if any.
In which:
ĐXTN is the high school graduation consideration score.
The total score of exam subjects is the total score of subjects that candidates use to consider graduation recognition.
The total number of exam subjects is the number of exam subjects used for graduation recognition.
The average score for each school year is the average score of high school calculated from grades 10, 11, 12.
Consolation points and priority points are only applied to candidates who are eligible for addition according to regulations.

University admission floor score
This year's university admission regulations introduce a new concept: Enrollment source.
Specifically, according to Point 3, Article 6 of the Regulation on enrollment for training majors at the university level and preschool education majors at the college level in Circular No. 06/2026/TT-BGDDT dated February 15, 2026 of the Ministry of Education and Training:
The source of admission to the university-level training program is candidates with a total score of 3 subjects in the high school graduation exam (vocational high school exam for vocational high school students) in the years according to the admission combination (or using the scores of Math, Literature and another exam subject) reaching at least 15 points on a 30-point scale, applicable to candidates taking the graduation exam from 2026; this regulation does not apply to candidates who are specially considered for high school graduation and candidates specified in Clause 1, Clause 2 (points a, c, d, đ), Clause 3, Clause 4 Article 8 of this Regulation".
The Ministry of Education and Training said that with the above regulations, it can be understood that this is an absolute condition (recruiting source) applied to candidates who graduate from 2026 onwards to be eligible for admission to universities and colleges in the preschool education sector, the total score of 3 graduation exam subjects (or Math, Literature and another subject) reaches 15 points. If the total score of 3 subjects is less than 15 points (hang 30), candidates do not meet the recruiting source conditions for admission consideration.
This is a condition for registering for admission with all methods, whether using high school graduation exam scores or other admission criteria such as competency assessment exam scores, transcripts...
