On June 14, Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary & High School (Hanoi National University of Education) organized the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
This is one of the final exams of the 10th grade entrance exam. Many students already know the results of admission to specialized schools or can self-assess their exam results. However, many students love and want to study here.
Mr. Le Van Cuong - Vice Principal of the school said that this year's exam has 5,566 registered candidates, a significant increase compared to last year. Meanwhile, the school's 10th grade enrollment quota this year is 420 students.
Mr. Cuong assessed that the larger number of candidates will certainly create pressure for admissions work. However, the University of Education and the school have prepared very carefully for the exam.
Basically, the preparation work is still being carried out as every year, so there is not too much pressure. The school also built exam questions in a differentiated direction, in order to select candidates with appropriate quality" - Mr. Cuong shared.
Students applying to Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary & High School must ensure the conditions of achieving a Fair level or higher in academics and a Good level in training in all 4 years of lower secondary school; achieving an average score of 6.5 or higher for the whole 9-year grade of three subjects Literature, Mathematics, and English.
In this morning's exam session, candidates took the Literature exam (120 minutes), in the afternoon they took the Math exam (90 minutes) and English exam (60 minutes).
In which, Literature subject is tested in essay form, including 2 parts: reading comprehension and writing; Math and English subjects are tested in multiple-choice combined with essays.
The admission score is the total score of three exam subjects, no subject is multiplied by a coefficient, no bonus points are added.
The content of the exam questions is mainly within the 9th grade program of the 2018 General Education Program.
The school is expected to announce the results on June 23.
