On the morning of May 25, more than 42,000 candidates in Hung Yen completed the Literature exam - the opening exam for the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year. Many candidates left the exam room with a comfortable and confident mentality to achieve good results when the exam questions were assessed as suitable and closely following the reviewed knowledge.
At the exam site, Truong Gia Bao - a student of Hoang Dieu Secondary School (Tra Ly ward, Hung Yen province) - said that this year's exam was not too difficult, mostly within the ability of students to do the test. According to Bao, the social commentary question requiring to present thoughts on will in life is a familiar and easy-to-implement content. However, the poetry analysis part made him spend more time.
“I find the poem analysis question a bit more difficult than the remaining parts, but in general I did about nearly 90% of the exam” - Bao shared.
Sharing the same opinion, Vu Ngoc Gia Bao - a student of Ky Ba Secondary School (Tran Lam ward, Hung Yen province) - said that the exam was quite "easy to breathe", helping candidates conveniently show their knowledge and test skills. The male student is confident that he can get about 8 to 9 points in Literature.

According to Ms. Nguyen Nhat Kim Huong - Literature teacher at Quang Trung Primary and Secondary School (Pho Hien ward), this year's exam questions are built to suit the general level of students, closely follow the key content and are quite similar to the previous sample questions.
Ms. Huong commented that the reading comprehension part had clear materials and the questions were easy to access. Notably, the social commentary question requiring to express thoughts on the role of will in life is a close topic, educational and logically linked to the reading comprehension part.
The literary essay section requiring analysis of a poem about motherhood is a good content, both helping students express emotions and having the ability to clearly classify those who have the ability to perceive and think creatively" - Ms. Huong assessed.
According to a report from the Hung Yen Provincial Department of Education and Training, in the morning exam session on May 25, the whole province had 42,405 candidates taking the exam, 283 students were absent. The exam took place safely, seriously, and no candidates violating regulations or developing unusual situations were recorded. With a positive mentality after the first exam, many candidates expect to continue to maintain good performance in the next exams.
