Quang Binh - More than 1,600 grade 9 students in Dong Hoi City are participating in free review classes organized by the school to prepare for the transfer exam.

On March 11, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Truong Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) said that, implementing the direction of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, the Department has implemented measures to manage extra teaching and learning in accordance with Circular 29 of the Ministry.

Currently, the Department is managing 16 secondary schools, organizing reviews for grade 9 students for 3 subjects of the transfer exam: Math, Literature and English. At schools, 1,621 grade 9 students have registered to participate in the review. This program is completely free, helping to reduce financial pressure on parents, while ensuring that students have the best preparation before the important exam.

Ms. Hien added that review classes are held from 2-3 sessions per week at the school, with a maximum of 45 students/class to ensure teaching quality. The school also arranges teachers to teach in accordance with regulations, in accordance with their expertise.

Organizing free review for grade 9 students is considered a positive step for the education sector of Dong Hoi City.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Hoi City emphasized that the unit will closely monitor the organization of the review. At the same time, schools must strictly implement Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training, avoiding the situation of additional teaching or affecting the rights of students.

"We will continue to closely monitor the implementation of review at schools, ensuring the best quality of teaching and support for students. Additional teaching and learning will have to comply with regulations, not to let negativity happen or put financial pressure on parents" - Ms. Hien said.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from January 2025 to now, more than 400 people have registered to teach extra classes in Dong Hoi City. Most of these cases have been granted business household registration certificates.

According to regulations, after submitting the application, there will be 3 days for the department to process and issue a certificate. Recently, due to the sudden increase in records, officers of the Department of Finance - Planning of Dong Hoi City have worked overtime to handle procedures for individuals to register. Up to now, the one-stop department of Dong Hoi City has not received any negative feedback on this.
