Tay Giang Ethnic Minority Boarding School (PTDTNT) is the main bridge point of Da Nang City in the opening event of the new school year 2026–2027, connecting online with the national central bridge point at Muong Khuong Ethnic Minority Boarding School (Lao Cai province). The event takes place simultaneously with the inauguration ceremony of inter-level border boarding schools on the mainland on the morning of September 5.
In Tay Giang commune on the afternoon of September 4, the atmosphere of preparation for the school opening day took place bustlingly and urgently. With a spacious scale in the border mountainous forest area, the new school is invested synchronously from classroom buildings, school buildings to dormitories and dining rooms.
The school's main gate is brilliantly decorated with flags, flowers, and banners to celebrate the opening ceremony and inauguration ceremony. In the central ceremony yard area in front of the 3-story building, the cinema system, LED screens, sound and live television have been thoroughly tested, ensuring smooth connection with the central bridge point of Muong Khuong. Along the corridors, the red color of the national flag and Party flags covered the classroom floors.
Talking to Lao Dong reporters, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Tay Giang Commune People's Committee - said: "For more than a month, the local government has devoted all efforts to coordinate with the school to clean up the environment, purchase equipment and carefully prepare accommodation for the children. The locality has proactively implemented all plans to welcome students to class, and at the same time effectively implemented the semi-boarding model for young children so that parents can feel secure in entrusting their children.
Along with technical work, youth forces, local people and teachers have focused their efforts on completing the final stages. Workers urgently completed the reinforcement of decorative columns bearing the characteristic patterns of the highland people; people actively planted more trees to create a landscape; general cleaning of the schoolyard was implemented throughout.
Inside the classrooms, facilities are ready with ceiling fans, lighting, fire prevention and fighting equipment and brand new standard tables and chairs. Teachers carefully draw patterns and write welcome slogans on blackboards. School drums and colorful teddy bear gifts have been placed on the podium, waiting to welcome more than 1,000 students from all levels in the border region to enter the new 2026–2027 school year.
