On September 4, Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department said it had notified the temporary suspension of exit for Mr. Le Thai Sam to the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security), due to tax obligations of Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways).
According to the announcement, Mr. Le Thai Sam is identified as the beneficial owner of Bamboo Airways. As of September 3, this enterprise still owes Gia Lai Provincial Tax more than 440 billion VND, exceeding the regulated threshold for temporary suspension of exit.
The temporary exit suspension period for Mr. Le Thai Sam is applied from September 3rd.
According to Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department, to be granted a temporary suspension of exit, Bamboo Airways must pay the remaining tax amount through the National Public Service Portal, ensuring that the total amount of tax remaining to be paid is lower than the temporary suspension threshold according to regulations.
Mr. Le Thai Sam (born 1964) used to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways. In November 2025, the Board of Directors of the airline unanimously elected Mr. Bui Quang Dung to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors for the term 2023-2028, replacing Mr. Sam.
