On September 5, in Minh Chau island commune, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Chau commune to organize the Inauguration Ceremony of Minh Chau Primary, Secondary and High School and the opening ceremony of the new school year 2026 - 2027.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee.
Minh Chau Primary, Secondary and High School was established under Decision No. 2878/QD-SGD&DT dated July 30, 2026 of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on the basis of merging Minh Chau Primary and Secondary School, and at the same time supplementing the high school level.
This is the first time Minh Chau commune has an inter-level school that completes all 3 levels of education under the management of the Department of Education and Training.
The project has a total investment of 109 billion VND, effectively combining Hanoi City budget capital and socialized capital. The school owns spacious and modern facilities.
In which, the newly built 5-story building includes theoretical classrooms, subject classrooms, halls and functional rooms. Primary and secondary schools and many auxiliary items have been renovated and completed; teaching equipment has been synchronously invested.
The system of cultural classrooms and functional rooms, STEM classrooms, technology classrooms... are fully equipped with smart audio-visual equipment and high-speed network connection.
Natural science experimental practice rooms, computer rooms, modern libraries and an outdoor continuous physical education area have opened up an ideal learning and training space, serving the entire learning journey from elementary school to high school for all children of the island commune.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Minh Chau commune said that for generations, the Red River has both accreted alluvium and been the boundary separating the dreams of literacy of many generations of Minh Chau students.
There have been stories of fathers taking their children, mothers picking up their children through each ferry trip to be on time for class. So many rainy and flood seasons, ferries having to be temporarily stopped, and unfinished lessons. That is the concern of generations of leaders and people of Minh Chau commune" - Secretary of the Party Committee of Minh Chau commune said.
According to Mr. Tien, the school inaugurated today is a valuable gift, but also a great responsibility placed on the shoulders of the Party Committee and government of Minh Chau commune.
We are deeply aware that building a school is already difficult, but for the school to truly be effective, to become a cradle for nurturing knowledge, nurturing good citizens for the homeland and country, it is still a longer journey, requiring more efforts.
Minh Chau may still be a difficult area of the Capital, but it certainly cannot be a low-lying area in terms of education, knowledge and aspiration to rise up" - Mr. Tien affirmed.
Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - a 9C grade student said that for Minh Chau students, this year's school opening day is very special. Students study under the roof of a multi-level school, a spacious and modern school.
For high school students, this is the first course that no longer has to cross the river by ferry to find letters, being able to study at a new spacious school, to dream and to grow up right in their homeland is a great happiness. Three levels of education - three stages of growing up - but we have a common roof" - Ms. Lien shared.
