Both cases of motorbikes crashing into the rear of a truck parked on the sidewalk on National Highway 20 were only more than 10km apart and the deceased had alcohol concentration.
On the morning of January 27, leaders of Bao Lam 2 commune (Lam Dong) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area where a motorbike crashed into the rear of a truck parked on the side of the road, killing 1 person on the spot.

Previously, at about 9:20 pm on January 26, at Km133, passing through hamlet 4 (Bao Lam 2 commune, Lam Dong), a motorbike with license plate 60B4-777.29 driven by Mr. Dang Minh Tu (33 years old, residing in Bao Lam 2 commune), was traveling on National Highway 20 in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat.
When arriving at the above location, the motorbike crashed into the rear of a truck with license plate 71C-134.80 driven by driver Vo Dinh Thinh (33 years old, residing in Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat), parked on the roadside in front. The collision caused Mr. Dang Minh Tu to die on the spot.
Next, at about 10:30 pm on the same day, on National Highway 20, passing through Ward 3 Bao Loc, Lam Dong, another traffic accident occurred between a motorbike and a truck, killing 1 person.
At the above time, a motorbike with license plate 49K1-365.08 driven by Mr. Le Viet Van (29 years old, residing in Ward 3 Bao Loc) was traveling in the direction of Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City.
When arriving at the above area, the motorbike suddenly rushed onto the sidewalk, directly hitting the rear of a truck with license plate 49C-341.42 driven by Mr. Ho Duy Linh (resident of Ward 3 Bao Loc, vehicle owner) parked on the sidewalk of National Highway 20, in front of his house. The accident killed Mr. Le Viet Van on the spot, and the motorbike was heavily damaged.
After the two accidents occurred, functional forces of Lam Dong province were present at the scene to regulate traffic, examine the scene, investigate, and clarify the causes of the accidents.
According to functional agencies, initial examination results showed that both motorcyclists in the two accidents had alcohol concentrations in their bodies.
Functional agencies recommend that at the time near the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the traffic volume participating in traffic increases sharply.
People need to strictly comply with traffic safety regulations. Especially "if you drink alcohol or beer, don't drive" to ensure safety for themselves and the community.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 3:20 am on January 25, on National Highway 20, at Km129+600 (Dai Nga bridge, Bao Lam 2 commune, Lam Dong province), a head-on collision occurred between two trucks, killing 2 people and injuring 2 others.
After the accident, functional forces quickly arrived to regulate traffic and examine the scene to investigate the cause.
