On December 11, the 10th People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City approved the decision to rename 18 streets.
National Highway 1 - a vital traffic route of more than 44 km long passing through Ho Chi Minh City, will be divided into three sections with new names.
- Do Muoi: Section from Thu Duc intersection (old Tram Hai intersection) to An Suong intersection, 21 km long.
- Le Duc Anh: The section from An Suong intersection to An Lac roundabout, 14 km long.
- Le Kha Phieu: Section from An Lac roundabout to Long An province border, 9.4 km long.
National Highway 22, the route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Tay Ninh, is divided into two sections.
- Le Quang Dao: Section from National Highway 1 intersection to An Ha bridge, 10 km long.
- Phan Van Khai: Section from An Ha bridge to Tay Ninh province border, 20 km long.
National Highway 50: 8.5 km section from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Long An province border, named Van Tien Dung.
National Highway 1K: 1.8 km section from National Highway 1 intersection to Binh Duong province border, named Hoang Cam.
In District 12, 10 streets were given new names:
- Central America West 13: Phan Van Hum.
- Central America West 2A: Nguyen Thi Tren.
- Central America West 7A: Dong Tien.
- Thoi An 03: Ba Du.
- Thoi An 06: Tran Van Lam.
- Tan Thoi Nhat 21: Le Thi Anh.
- D32: Tham The Ha.
- D1: Huynh Tan Chua.
- D27: Nam Dinh.
- Hiep Thanh 11: Nguyen Van Van.
In District 7:
- Road number 67 changed to Ngo Thi Bi.
- Road number 9 and number 32 changed to Vo Thi Dang.
In Tan Phu District: Road N1 was renamed Tan Thanh.
In addition, the park in front of Thong Nhat Hall (District 1) is named April 30 Park.
The bridge connecting to Kim Cuong Island (Thu Duc City) is officially named Tran Quy Kien.
