During the 9 days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) is expected to organize nearly 50,000 bus trips to ensure the travel needs of people in the Capital and surrounding areas.
According to the plan to serve public passenger transport during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 just deployed by Transerco, bus operations are organized flexibly, suitable to the actual travel needs of people before, during and after the Tet holiday, while ensuring safety and smooth traffic.
Specifically, in the period before and after Tet (from now until the end of February 12, 2026, i.e., December 25 of the lunar calendar and from February 23, 2026, the 7th day of Tet onwards), bus routes operate according to schedules and service targets as on normal days.
During the Tet holiday, from February 13th to February 22nd, 2026 (ie from December 26th to the 6th day of Tet), Transerco adjusts bus operations according to the Tet chart, which is built closely to the actual needs on each route and each time frame, in order to promptly meet the fluctuations in passenger volume.
