Hanoi discovers more than 1,500 violations through remote fines

    Hanoi recorded 1,543 violations through camera fines, many of which were related to illegal use of sidewalks.

    According to information from Hanoi City Police, from May 11 to May 17, 2026, the AI camera system and functional forces recorded 1,543 violations through the form of "cold fines".

    Of which, 108 cases were detected through the AI camera system. The remaining 1,435 cases were recorded from direct feedback from individuals and organizations in 83 communes and wards.

    Notably, the illegal use of sidewalks accounted for 265 cases out of the total number of violations detected.

    The areas recorded many violations include: Tien Thang ward with 66 cases, Yen Lang ward 64 cases, Phuc Loi ward 55 cases, Me Linh and Quang Minh wards both recorded 44 cases.

    Hanoi City Police said they will continue to strengthen the application of AI technology in monitoring and handling violations to improve the effectiveness of ensuring traffic order, safety and urban order in the area.
