According to Lao Dong reporter's investigation, Hanoi People's Committee recently approved the road plan along the Red right dike (part of the project to upgrade the Red right dike and combine it with a traffic road in Son Tay town).
According to approval, the route passes through the communes and wards of Duong Lam, Phu Thinh, and Le Loi with a route length of about 2.5km.
Starting point at the intersection with Ring Road 5 (beginning of Vinh Thinh bridge); ending point at the intersection with Le Loi street.
The route is determined based on the general planning of Son Tay town (incorporating Son Tay satellite town) until 2030; approved urban subdivision planning projects of Le Loi and Phu Thinh wards.
According to the plan, the route has a typical cross-section of 21m wide, including a 4-lane roadway, a 1.5m wide median strip, a 3m wide southern sidewalk, and the remaining area of about 2.5m for safety strips and curbs.
The section through the existing residential area is designed with two different road levels to ensure direct and smooth traffic access.
Intersections between the route and existing and planned level crossings are organized as level crossings. The intersection with Ring Road 5 (at Vinh Thinh Bridge) is studied and implemented as a separate project.
The red line boundaries of intersections with planned cross-roads shown in this document are only preliminarily determined and will be supplemented and specifically determined in detailed planning projects on both sides of the route and investment projects for construction of cross-roads or intersections approved by competent authorities.
Previously, Son Tay town organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ngo Quyen - Phung Hung road construction investment project with a total investment of 522 billion VND.
The project is about 2.2km long, passing through Trung Hung ward, Quang Trung ward and Duong Lam commune.
The starting point of the route is at the intersection of Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and Phan Chu Trinh Street, the end point of the route intersects with the National Highway 32 bypass.
The project scale has a road surface width of 45m (on the route there is a bridge over the Tich River with a cross-section of 38m), with a synchronous technical infrastructure system according to the planning.
The project is expected to be completed in 2026, creating a smooth traffic network, adding strength to Son Tay town to synchronously develop economy, culture, society and tourism.
