On January 31, 2025 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2025), according to Phu Tho Provincial Police, despite continuous propaganda and reminders about the harmful effects and unpredictable consequences of driving with alcohol in the body, during the Tet holiday, there were still many cases of intentional violations.
During just 6 days of Tet holiday (starting from January 25, or December 26), through patrolling and controlling, the provincial traffic police force detected and recorded 1,819 violations, fined over 2 billion VND, of which 202 cases were handled for violations of alcohol concentration when driving.
Phu Tho Provincial Police request people to strictly comply with the Law on Traffic Safety and Order. Traffic police will continuously patrol and strictly handle violations "without exception".
