The two Golf Associations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic development cooperation to jointly aim at developing future Vietnamese golf.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Development Cooperation was signed by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and the English Golf Association (England Golf) on October 31 at Laguna Lang Co Golf & Resort.

The program will cooperate in the 2025-2030 period. Accordingly, the cooperation programs that were noted between the two sides include: Supporting the implementation of the Vietnam Golf Development Strategy for the 2025-2030 period; Pioneering the UK's "Respect in Golf" program in Vietnam; Joint research on the development of the golf movement, coaching and training young talents.

This cooperation is expected to create opportunities for the two Associations to develop training programs, assessment standards and solutions to improve the quality of golf course management in Vietnam, bringing the Vietnamese golf ecosystem closer to international standards on golf course operation, player development and community cohesion.

Meanwhile, the Conference on Golf Course owners - Developing Vietnam Golf Tourism to unify the vision for 2030 chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Hue City, in coordination with units and the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA), recorded many discussions about golf in Vietnam.

Representatives of management agencies, investors and international experts agreed on the Vision 2030 for sustainable golf development, taking identity and quality as the foundation for national competitiveness.

3 pillars of strategic orientation for 2025-2030 are aimed at, including Shaping Vietnam's golf strategy: building a development roadmap and making Vietnam a leading golf destination in Asia; Sustainable golf development: Unifying environmental criteria and a green golf development model, harmonizing economic and community benefits; Enhancing the 5-star golf experience: Discussing the system of criteria for evaluating national golf courses to improve service quality and increase international competitiveness.
