On October 8, Dau Tu Newspaper officially launched the 17th annual charity golf tournament "For Vietnamese Children" - Swing for the Kids in 2024 to raise scholarship funds for students who overcome difficult circumstances to achieve high academic achievements.
The tournament will officially take place at 7:00 a.m. on October 12, 2024 at Kings Course and Mountain View at Kings Island Golf Resort (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).
The charity golf tournament "For Vietnamese Children" is a playground for golfers to compete, practice and improve their skills, as well as accompany the organizing committee in carrying out other humanitarian activities.
Regarding the prize structure, golfers who achieve HIO have the opportunity to receive 2 VF9 cars worth more than 1.5 billion VND; 1 set of 6-star Kenichi Luxury clubs worth 325 million VND; 1 voucher for installing a 3D Okongolf golf room worth 200 million VND...
Accordingly, the tournament entry fee is 3,500,000 VND/golfer, including: course fee, caddie, electric cart and gala award ceremony. The entire amount will be used by the organizing committee to support charity.
At the award ceremony, the organizing committee will award 5 full scholarships in 2024 (worth 10 million VND/scholarship) to 5 students from the University of Transport and the Academy of Policy and Development. In addition, other scholarships will also be awarded to students affected by storms and floods and in difficult circumstances.
The organizers said that in addition to the annual scholarship program for poor but excellent students nationwide, this year, the money raised through the charity golf tournament "For Vietnamese Children" will be prioritized to fund the reconstruction of schools and support students in localities affected by the recent Typhoon Yagi.
