On April 14, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Tu commune coordinated with inter-commune Buddhist monasteries in Tam Binh area to present Tet gifts Chôl Chnăm Thmây 2026 to poor Khmer households at Ky Son Pagoda and Cu Pagoda.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 200 gifts to households in difficult circumstances. Each gift included rice, noodles, soy sauce, sugar and cash worth 400,000 VND, supported by Buddhist monasteries with a total budget of 80 million VND.
Ms. Pham Thi Hang, Head of the Culture - Society Department of Ngai Tu commune, acknowledged and praised the joint efforts of Buddhist monasteries in social security work in the locality. At the same time, she sent New Year greetings of peace and happiness to all Khmer people, hoping that households will continue to strive to rise up in life.
On behalf of inter-commune Buddhist monasteries in Tam Binh area, Venerable Thich Minh Tuan, abbot of Giac Long Pagoda, sent Tet greetings to the Khmer people, encouraging everyone to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, and join hands to build an increasingly progressive and prosperous cultural life.
In the warm atmosphere of the program, Ms. Thach Thi Phung, Dai Tho hamlet, emotionally expressed her gratitude for the concern of the Fatherland Front of Ngai Tu commune and Buddhist monasteries. Thanks to that, many poor Khmer households celebrated the warm and meaningful Chol Chnam Thmay Tet; on this occasion, the locality presented more than 600 gifts to support people.
