After the Lunar New Year, many gardeners taking care of ornamental plants in Da Nang are busy receiving apricot and bonsai trees from people to send for nurturing. The demand for restoring trees after Tet display period is quite large, leading to care service packages priced from several hundred thousand to several million VND depending on the value of the tree and technical requirements.

Recorded on routes with many ornamental plant business establishments such as Nguyen Chon, Hoang Thi Loan, the amount of trees sent for care after Tet is quite large. Many gardeners are overloaded and only receive 1-2 more small apricot pots.
In gardens, yellow apricot blossoms still account for the largest number, besides bonsai and ornamental plants.
With more than 10 years of experience in taking care of ornamental apricot trees and bonsai trees, Mr. Le Trong Duc, owner of a ornamental tree garden on Nguyen Chon street, said that the care of apricot trees also depends a lot on the weather. There are years when the weather is favorable, many trees bloom beautifully, but there are also years when the whole garden has dozens of roots, only a few trees bloom evenly, and the rest have few buds or bloom not on time.

Small apricot trees, about 1m high, with small trunks, usually have a care cost of 1-1.5 million VND per year. This price includes stages such as pruning branches, changing soil, fertilizing, treating pests and diseases, and monitoring the tree's recovery process for many months," Mr. Duc said.
Mr. Duc added that for trees with higher value, care requires a lot of technique and time, so the cost can be up to tens of millions of VND. For large apricot trees with wide canopies, it is necessary to hire a crane to lift them up, replace the soil and treat the root system, so the care cost is also higher.

In recent years, the trend of renting apricot blossoms to display for Tet and then returning them to gardeners is increasingly popular in Da Nang. Many families, businesses, and agencies choose this form to save costs and still have beautiful trees to display at the beginning of the year. After recovery, gardeners will continue to nurture the trees to prepare for the next Tet season.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Vu (Ngu Hanh Son ward, Da Nang city) said that every year his family sends apricot blossoms to the garden to take care of after Tet. According to Mr. Vu, if you take care of them yourself at home, it takes quite a lot of time and space, and you don't have much experience, so the trees are difficult to grow well.

According to garden owners, the care of apricot blossoms after Tet depends quite a lot on the weather. If the weather is sunny and warm and stable, the tree recovers quickly. Conversely, when it rains a lot or the cold lasts, the tree nurturing process will be more difficult, requiring adjusting the irrigation, fertilization and shielding regimes reasonably.

In addition, many gardeners also separate the apricot blossom growing area from other ornamental plants. This method helps limit the spread of pests and diseases between plants, and is also more convenient for monitoring and care according to each specific characteristic.
The time after Tet is usually the busiest period for ornamental plant service providers. Not only taking care of customers' trees, they also have to restore hundreds of apricot pots for the next Tet season. For many tree lovers, sending apricot gardens is considered an effective solution to maintain shape and ensure the trees continue to bloom beautifully every spring.
