Increased bottom-fishing buying power helped the stock market have a strong recovery session and surpass the psychological threshold of 1,800 points.

The stock market recorded a recovery that appeared quite early in today's session (September 15) with green color spreading on the electronic board. VN-Index quickly regained the important psychological milestone of 1,800 points in the morning session, but the diễn biến was somewhat unexpected at the end of the session.

VN-Index suddenly had a sharp drop, breaking the reference point below 1,795 points, equivalent to losing 15 points in just a few minutes, making investors somewhat startled, before this index jumped back to near the highest level of the session when closing.

Closing the session on September 15, VN-Index increased by 22.92 points, equivalent to +1.28% to 1,811.15 points. However, declining liquidity and strong, sudden fluctuations at the end of the day still show investors' cautious sentiment with the current trend.

Total trading volume reached more than 642.4 million units, worth nearly 16,696 billion VND, down 22% in volume and 15% in value compared to yesterday's session. Block transactions contributed more than 120.5 million units, worth 3,262 billion VND.

The most prominent stock groups today are still oil and gas, energy when world crude oil prices continue to rise, with many codes increasing to the ceiling price such as BSR increasing by +6.84% to 30,450 VND and GAS +6.65% to 91,400 VND, PLX +6% to 37,350 VND, ...

The banking stock group also impressed when many codes increased by 2-3%. While SHB attracted the most transactions, matching the highest orders in the market with more than 56.4 million units, along with SSB when having a second consecutive ceiling increase session +6.9% to 20,900 VND, matching more than 6.5 million units.

Currently, in addition to real estate, banking, and energy groups still maintaining a growth trend, the remaining industry groups have short-term and medium-term price trends still in the process of adjustment, accumulation for a long time, and there are not many outstanding investment opportunities.

However, there are still many quality businesses with good growth with low P/E and P/B ratios compared to history, a reasonable level for considering investment.

Therefore, investors can assess and consider investment opportunities, based on the growth prospects of businesses and the economy. As well as the market expects to welcome new investment capital flows.

In terms of technical analysis, in August, VN-Index is surpassing the downward trend line connecting the highest price zones in May, June, July 2026. Opening up prospects that VN-Index may return to the historical peak around 1,900 points. However, VN-Index has had a period of good price increase from around 1,720 points to the price zone around 1,850 points.

In September, high supply pressure will increase again as VN-Index moves towards a strong resistance zone around 1,900 points. VN-Index will continuously be under adjustment pressure to retest the 1,800 point price range and may fluctuate in the range of 1,800 - 1,900 points. Investors need to be more cautious with positions increasing investment proportion, should only consider when there is adjustment.

Currently, the margin lending ratio on market capitalization is still high. The market is strongly differentiated. Good investment opportunities are concentrated in leading enterprises with good quality and outstanding business results.
