According to information from the City Department of Finance, Da Nang is promoting investment attraction in seaport infrastructure with adjustments and additions to key projects in the Lien Chieu area in the period of 2022-2026, with a vision to 2030.
In particular, Da Nang will adjust the project "02 Ben Boi Lien Chieu Port" into a more scale project with the name "Investment in building the overall of Lien Chieu container port". This new project aims to build up to 8 container ports, with a total estimated investment of up to 45,260 billion dong (equivalent to nearly 2 billion USD). The first phase (2025-2030) will focus on construction from 2 to 4 ports, meeting the needs of receiving large loads of up to 100,000 tons or more. The project also includes synchronous infrastructure such as railway area, parking lot, Lien Chieu station connection and other auxiliary works.
At the same time, Da Nang also added a new project "Lux air port at Lien Chieu Wharf Area" with a total estimated investment of about VND 5,429 billion (more than USD 230 million). This project includes 6 ports specializing in LNG and LPG, serving the needs of energy storage and supply. In the 2025-2030 period, priority will be given to the construction of 1 to 2 ports.
Both projects are being called for investment in the form of 100% investor capital.
