On September 7, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that in August 2026, the whole province is estimated to have 340 newly established businesses, with a total registered capital of about 3,000 billion VND.
Compared to the same period, the number of newly established businesses was 91%, but registered capital increased by 36%. At the same time, about 50 businesses returned to operation, an increase of 39%.
Accumulated for 8 months, the province estimates that there are 2,500 newly established businesses, an increase of 18%, with a total registered capital of about 21,500 billion VND, equal to 82% over the same period; about 510 businesses resumed operations, an increase of 23%. These figures show that market entry activities continue to be maintained, although the scale of newly registered capital has not increased correspondingly.
In the opposite direction, August recorded an estimated 600 dissolved businesses, an increase of 700% compared to the same period; 80 businesses temporarily suspended business. In general, in 8 months, about 1,200 businesses dissolved, an increase of 176%; 1,218 businesses temporarily suspended business, an increase of 6%.
Notably, the report has a separate explanation of the reasons for the sudden increase in the number of dissolved businesses. Accordingly, the business registration agency coordinates with the tax authority to review, standardize data and complete dissolution procedures for businesses that have stopped operating from previous periods.
Thus, dissolution data in the month includes businesses that have stopped operating before, and have now completed procedures to terminate operations. This is a factor that needs to be considered when assessing business fluctuations, avoiding uniformity in the time of completing procedures with the time the actual business leaves the market.
Mr. Cao Dinh Huy - Director of Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance emphasized that from now until the end of 2026, functional agencies will continue to create conditions and reform administrative procedures to support businesses in the area.
