On October 3, the Tax Directorate said that in order to promptly support organizations, individuals, and businesses suffering losses due to storm No. 3 (Yagi) and post-storm floods in the northern provinces, Directorate Director Mai Xuan Thanh directed the establishment of working groups consisting of experts in the tax field to go directly to localities to support and guide the implementation of tax exemption, reduction, extension, and deferral policies for businesses and business households suffering serious losses due to storms and floods.
In Quang Ninh, Deputy Director of Policy Department Manh Thi Tuyet Mai - Head of the working group said that after listening to the Quang Ninh Provincial Tax Department share the difficulties of the locality and of businesses and business households in the area, the working group felt more deeply the losses of the locality.
“The working group will fully grasp the difficulties and obstacles in implementing support policies at the local level to provide specific instructions. In case it exceeds the authority or is related to the locality, the group will promptly report to the Directorate leadership to have an implementation plan” - Deputy Director Manh Thi Tuyet Mai shared at the meeting.
At the same time, policies on tax exemption, reduction and extension for taxpayers suffering material damage due to natural disasters are promptly instructed at the Tax Department's headquarters, on the website and social networking system.
Accordingly, as of October 2, the Quang Ninh Provincial Tax Department has received and supported 104 taxpayers directly at the one-stop department at the tax office; answered 1 document asking about tax exemption, reduction, and extension policies for taxpayers suffering material damage due to natural disasters; received 64,390 emails, of which 58,292 emails came from enterprises, organizations, and cooperatives; and 6,098 emails were sent to households and individuals doing business under the management of the Tax Department.
With the spirit of "Sharing difficulties and promptly supporting taxpayers to soon stabilize production and business", the representative of the Quang Ninh Provincial Tax Department said that the unit has assigned tasks to each tax officer to promptly coordinate with relevant agencies to quickly resolve issues related to administrative procedures, provide tax records and documents kept at the tax agency related to determining the value of damage upon request and proposal of organizations, individuals and businesses suffering damage.
At the same time, the Department's professional units promptly guide and support damaged organizations, individuals and enterprises to restore tax records (tax declaration records, tax exemption and reduction records, tax refund records, tax payment extension records, etc.) and documents and vouchers serving the determination of damage value of organizations, individuals and enterprises according to regulations.
