On the afternoon of March 3, Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Ho Tien Thieu chaired a working session with the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and the Power Corporation - TKV.
The content of the working session focused on the implementation of the project to renovate and build a new 110kV power line from Na Duong Thermal Power Plant to Lang Son 220kV Transformer Station and Lang Son 110kV substation.
According to a quick report from EVNNPC, this project is implemented under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to upgrade the 110kV Na Duong - Lang Son line in sync with the operation progress of Na Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant.
In addition, the project also aims to improve the load capacity of the 110kV power line, ensure connection to the power grid, release power source capacity, and at the same time increase stable power supply to the Northern power system.
The project has a total investment of more than 494 billion VND, including 107 newly built locations and 17 locations that need to be renovated.
The route will pass through two districts of Cao Loc, Loc Binh and Lang Son city, with a total expected land use demand of about 53.49 hectares.
At the meeting, the General Director of EVNNPC proposed that the People's Committee of Lang Son province consider a number of important contents, including a special mechanism to shorten investment procedures, direct departments, branches and sectors to support project implementation, as well as report to the Prime Minister to include the project in the list of emergency power projects.
Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Industry and Trade to closely coordinate with Lang Son Power Company and related units to monitor the implementation progress. At the same time, the Department needs to continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee in proposing to include the project in the list of emergency power projects to submit to the Prime Minister.
In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to coordinate with departments, branches and local authorities to complete the land use plan according to the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
The Department of Finance is also required to study and guide investment procedures, and consider including the project in the list of key projects of the province.
Along with that, the leader of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province will accompany EVNNPC to ensure the project is implemented according to plan.
In addition, the province also requested EVNNPC to continue to pay attention to investing in and upgrading the rural power grid to improve the quality of electricity supply for people in Lang Son province.
