Gas prices today (April 3) remain stable at a high level after a sharp increase from the beginning of April, with a common level of around 650,000 VND per 12kg cylinder depending on the region and brand.

According to LPG businesses, the domestic gas price level increased sharply in April mainly due to pressure from the international market. Specifically, the contract gas price (CP) in April was announced at about 775 USD/ton, a significant increase compared to the previous month, leading to an increase in import costs.
In addition, fluctuations in the USD/VND exchange rate also increase input costs, making it difficult for domestic gas prices to maintain at a low level as before.
After completing the adjustment period at the beginning of the month, gas prices are currently temporarily stable and no new increases have appeared. However, in the context that world energy prices are still fluctuating, the domestic gas price level is forecast to continue to be under pressure in the coming time.
* Note: Retail gas prices are for reference only, may change depending on the region and business; the trend in the coming time depends on world energy prices.
