Recommendations on some issues related to infrastructure serving workers
As a multinational enterprise in the field of electronic equipment manufacturing, Luxshare - ICT currently has a factory system in many countries, of which Vietnam is one of the important production bases.
In Bac Ninh, the enterprise is operating 4 factories, creating jobs for about 45,000 workers.
The average income of workers reached about 9 million VND/person/month; insurance and welfare regimes were fully implemented.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Truong Tieu Kien - General Director of Luxshare ICT Vietnam Company expressed his gratitude for the concern and companionship of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Bac Ninh province throughout the investment and development process.
The business affirmed that the goal of building a working environment is not only a place for production but also a space for workers to live and be attached to for a long time; towards comprehensive and sustainable development.

From practical operations, businesses propose some issues related to infrastructure serving workers.
Accordingly, at some times, local traffic congestion still occurs; drainage systems are limited, causing flooding in the rainy season, affecting workers' travel. In addition, the situation of vehicles picking up and dropping off workers spontaneously, stopping and parking arbitrarily has not been strictly managed, posing a risk of traffic unsafety.
The business proposed that Bac Ninh province pay attention to planning reasonable stops; and at the same time invest in expanding and renovating the transportation system around the industrial park, ensuring convenient and safe travel conditions for workers.

Talking to businesses, Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh - Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Council emphasized that the province has been and is continuing to prioritize resources to invest in expanding traffic routes, especially service roads and areas with large concentrations of workers to ensure synchronous connection, meeting travel and safety needs for workers.
The province will also direct relevant departments and branches to strengthen solutions to handle congestion, manage worker transportation activities; and at the same time hope that businesses will accompany and support resources to invest in infrastructure facilities directly related to workers' lives.
Grassroots trade unions must be a hotline for workers to reach.
Concluding the working session, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan requested that, regarding issues related to the wishes and needs of businesses as well as workers that have been raised, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation should summarize these opinions in official documents to report to the leaders of Bac Ninh province.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan also congratulated Luxshare after 10 years of operation in Bac Giang before and now Bac Ninh for having a breakthrough development. From an initial scale with revenue of only about 5,000 - 6,000 billion VND, it has now had revenue of more than 30,000 billion VND (equivalent to about 1.2 billion USD). This is a very impressive figure.
At the same time, this is a business with the number of employees in the leading group in Bac Ninh province today.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan hopes Luxshare will continue to invest more to contribute to the development of Bac Ninh province.
Bac Ninh is a locality with great development potential and room. The locality will have Gia Binh airport, the 2nd largest airport in Vietnam, and also a hub connecting 2 very important railway lines: Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong and Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan added.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that the relationship between business leaders and grassroots trade unions needs to be further strengthened, in order to take good care of workers' lives, create conditions for workers to promote their capacity and improve labor productivity.
Grassroots trade unions need to fully promote their representative function, protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers; strengthen dialogue, negotiation, build collective labor agreements; supervise the implementation of regimes and policies; proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members to promptly propose solutions.
At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilization to build the image of workers in the new stage - with knowledge, legal understanding, dynamism, creativity, meeting development requirements.

The grassroots trade union must be a mailbox, a hotline, a place where workers always come to when needed. We both supervise the implementation of regimes and policies and are a bridge to reflect and propose workers' recommendations to business owners," the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor sent a message to the grassroots trade union organization at the enterprise.
On this occasion, the working delegation directly visited and listened to the sharing of workers working at the enterprise; presented 500 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and typical workers in production, and visited the kitchen and dormitory area of the company.
