Gia Lai strengthens inspection and handling of establishments selling dirty goods and food

Gia Lai - The authorities are strengthening inspection and handling of establishments selling dirty goods and food that affect the health of consumers.

On June 4, information from the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health said that the unit had drawn up administrative fines for two business establishments in the area.

Accordingly, the Viet Nhi milk business household ( Ayun Pa town) was discovered to have violated regulations on product preservation that did not comply with the conditions stated on the label.

Products such as Vinamik blueberry-fermented milk, traditional Vinamik fermented yogurt, Vinamik low-sugar fermented yogurt... are required to be stored at a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. However, in reality, the storage facility does not ensure this condition.

On the other hand, during a surprise inspection, the authorities discovered that Tuong Vi grocery store (in Ia Mron commune, Ia Pa district) had an area for storing goods and a storage warehouse that did not have full shelves, no signs, regulations, procedures or hygiene regimes according to regulations.

Previously, the business household Tien Pho Nui (Tra Ba ward, Pleiku city) was also handled for many violations. This establishment sells products such as honey, turmeric starch, green pepper banana powder, petroleum juice... but does not have a self-declaration of products according to regulations. In addition, the storage area also lacks guaranteed shelves.

Pho Nui store has been operating since 2023, mainly selling via social networks such as Facebook, TikTok... On average, this facility processes about 1,000 orders delivered to consumers nationwide per day. On the TikTok platform alone, the total number of products sold on the market has reached nearly 650,000 units.

Implementing a peak period of fighting counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, dirty foods and environmental sanitation violations, the Department of Health of Gia Lai province has requested the Market Management force to focus on inspecting and strictly handling dairy products, health protection foods and dietary supplements.

Especially products distributed through unofficial agents, e-commerce platforms and social networks.
