World oil price today
World oil prices today increased slightly. At 11:02, WTI crude oil was at 64.11 USD/barrel, up 0.15 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.23%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 63.96 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 64.03 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 66.83 USD/barrel, up 0.20 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.30%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 66.63 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 66.70 USD/barrel.
World oil prices today suddenly turned up after many consecutive declines. The market was pressured by the increase in production of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in July, after OPEC+ reached an agreement to increase production. The increase was curbed by additional cuts by Iraq and drone strikes on the Kurdish oil fields.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on August 7.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 207 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 234 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 268 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 54 VND/liter, mazut increased by 114 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease simultaneously.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 250-350 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 400-500 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 700-750 VND/liter.
