The situation of smuggling and illegal transportation of prohibited goods via Noi Bai airport (Hanoi) remains complicated.

Regarding the situation of preventing smuggling and transporting prohibited goods through border gates, the Hanoi Customs Department - a member of the Hanoi City Steering Committee 389, has strengthened the work of collecting information, grasping the situation, synchronously applying professional customs control measures, strictly controlling routes, areas, key goods, prohibited goods, goods with high tax rates, large value of goods, counterfeit goods, goods violating intellectual property.

In particular, the fight against drugs has been stepped up. In November, the Hanoi Customs Department coordinated with functional forces to inspect and seize 25,800 grams of synthetic drugs.

The functional forces proactively grasp the situation, identify routes, areas, key goods and fields; perform professional work well; identify new methods and tricks of operation, especially e-commerce activities. Promote and attach responsibility to leaders in performing tasks; at the same time, promptly rectify and handle acts of taking advantage of positions and powers to assist, protect and cover up subjects with acts of smuggling, manufacturing and trading in counterfeit goods and commercial fraud.

Exchange, share information, and coordinate between functional forces to improve the effectiveness of anti-smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the new situation; especially smuggling, illegal transportation of goods through Noi Bai International Airport, production and trading of counterfeit goods in the domestic market, e-commerce activities, taxes, etc. in the final period of 2024 and preparation for Lunar New Year 2025.
