According to information from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, on the first day of customs clearance at Bac Luan 2 Bridge Border Gate, as of 10:00 a.m. on January 31, 22 export enterprises had completed customs clearance procedures, with 112 trips and 113 declarations.
The main export items included 368 tons of seafood, worth 8,936,000 USD; 384 tons of fruit (jackfruit), worth 371,840 USD.
Previously, after exchanging information and agreeing with the Department of Trade and Border Gate Management of Dongxing City (China) on the Lunar New Year holiday schedule of Dongxing City (China) border gate functional forces via hotline, Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board has developed a plan for customs clearance activities for the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025.
Accordingly, at the Bac Luan II border gate area, from January 28 to January 30 (from the 29th of Tet to the 2nd of Tet), the functional forces will be off for Tet.
From January 31 to February 4 (from the 3rd day of Tet to the 7th day of Tet), customs clearance will be made by appointment. From February 5, 2025 (the 8th day of Tet) onwards, customs clearance will be made as usual.
At the Dong Hung border market pair (China)/Km3+4 Hai Yen opening via the temporary pontoon bridge on Ka Long river, from January 28 to February 4 (from the 29th of Tet to the 7th of Tet), the authorities will be off for Tet. From February 5 (the 8th of Tet) onwards, customs clearance will be carried out as usual.
By 2025, Mong Cai city aims to reach 2.5 million tons of goods through the border gate, with an estimated import-export turnover of 4.5 billion USD and import-export tax revenue of 2,650 billion VND.
At Cai Lan port, Ha Long city welcomed two ships to load cargo on the morning of January 31. The Sendai Spirit ship carried 38,000 tons of wood chips for export and the Oriental Breeze ship carried 35,000 tons of wood chips for export.
Quang Ninh Port has immediately deployed measures to load and unload goods to release the ship as soon as possible.
In 2025, Quang Ninh Port sets a target of reaching 9.3 million tons of goods through the port, with expected revenue of over 500 billion VND.
