In July 2025, the Hon Ba Nature Reserve Management Board publicly announced to organizations and individuals who need to rent forest environment to do ecotourism, resort and entertainment services at Hon Ba Nature Reserve.

Organizations and individuals who need to lease forest environment must submit forest environment lease registration documents according to regulations.

The lease of forest environment is carried out on the basis of the ecotourism, resort and entertainment project for the period 2023-2029 approved by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee at the end of 2023; adjusted and supplemented according to Decision No. 48 at the end of June 2025.

The list of areas for forest environmental lease, including tourist routes and destinations, has been specifically identified in the Project.

This ensures compliance with current legal regulations, in line with sustainable forest management plans and the orientation of developing eco-tourism associated with nature conservation, community development, and environmental education.

The Hon Ba Nature Reserve Management Board calls on organizations and individuals with capacity and experience in the fields of eco-tourism, resorts, and entertainment to pay attention to sustainable investment associated with natural resource protection.

Units submit forest environmental lease registration documents to be considered for selection in accordance with the prescribed order and procedures.

Development orientation according to zoning

Previously, at the end of 2023, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee approved the ecotourism, resorts, and entertainment project of Hon Ba Nature Reserve for the period 2023 - 2029.

The project scope is deployed on the entire 19,285ha of Hon Ba Reserve. Including 3 subdivisions: Strict protection (9,519ha), ecological restoration (9,553ha) and tourism - administration (213ha).

Here, tourism products will focus on spiritual tourism (hon Ba Pagoda), nature exploration, biology, geology, climate research, etc. In addition, there are resorts, adventure sports, and planting incense trees.

The project also plans 3 main tourist attractions: Hon Ba Peak (103ha): building villas, bungalows, Truc Lam Hon Ba Pagoda model...

Suoi Dau (447ha): Construction of administrative areas, suspension bridges, vegetable gardens, resorts... 17 check-in and plant-based observation points.

Prioritize preservation and limitation of rough interventions

The project requires no impact on biodiversity and natural landscapes. In strictly protected subdivisions, it is only allowed to build trails, shelters, signs, underground cables or cable car cables above that do not serve conservation combined with eco-tourism.

The ecological recovery zone is allowed to build roads (maximum not exceeding level IV mountainous areas), pedestrian bridges in flooded forests.

Administrative - service subdivisions are built to serve tourism but must ensure that they do not affect national defense, security, historical - cultural relics.

The Hon Ba Reserve Management Board is allowed to organize, cooperate or lease forest environment to develop tourism in accordance with legal regulations.
