On December 2, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province issued a plan to implement the commodity market stabilization program before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
The purpose of the Program is to provide abundant quality goods, ensure food hygiene and safety, and meet people's consumption needs.
The program is also associated with the implementation of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to promote production and business development, orient and encourage consumers to have the habit of prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods.
The program to stabilize the market of goods on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 in Kon Tum province has 2 registered units to participate, including WinMart supermarket and Co.opmart supermarket with a total amount of goods participating in price stabilization of over 9.39 billion VND using the enterprise's capital, without registering to borrow capital from the State budget.
The items participating in the Price Stabilization Program before, during and after Tet include: Processed foods (sugar, MSG, fish sauce, cooking oil, instant noodles, tea, cakes, candies, Tet seeds of all kinds); food (rice, sticky rice of all kinds); fresh foods and processed foods.
Sales are organized in two ways: fixed and mobile. Mobile sales points are organized in Mang Ri commune (Tu Mo Rong district), Dak Plo commune (Dak Glei district) and Dak Ring commune (Kon Plong district) according to the Program of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas in 2025.
Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee requires businesses participating in price stabilization to publicly and consistently post prices at points of sale for all stabilized goods. The price posting must be clear, not confusing to customers and sold at the correct listed price.
