On May 26, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province said that as of April 30, 2025, the whole province had disbursed about 547.9 billion VND, reaching 22.5% of the capital plan assigned by the Central Government.
According to the 2025 public investment plan from the state budget (NSNN) assigned by the Central Government, Kon Tum province is allocated a total capital of VND 2,434.9 billion. Of which, local budget capital is VND 982.1 billion and central budget capital is VND 1,452.9 billion.
Kon Tum province is currently focusing on discussing and proposing solutions related to public investment projects managed by the provincial level.
At the same time, functional sectors are also discussing the transition of management of programs, tasks, projects and public investment plans in the context of arranging and perfecting the organization of the local government apparatus according to the two-level model.
According to the orientation, programs, tasks and projects decided by the provincial level on investment policies will be transferred to the specialized project management boards under the province.
For programs, tasks and projects decided by the district level on investment policy, they will be transferred to the commune level for management. In case the project is located in two or more communes, the management will be assigned to the commune with a larger scale and implementation volume.
Currently, Kon Tum is speeding up the construction progress of 4 key projects including: Kon Tum City Flood Control Embankment Project with a total capital of 473.4 billion VND; Kon Tum City Western bypass with a total investment of 1,492.6 billion VND; Ia Chim Tourist Area Bridge project with a capital of more than 169.2 billion VND; and Provincial Road 676 project with a total investment of 1,300 billion VND.
These are all projects that play a very important role in the development of the province, driving the socio-economic development and disbursement of public investment capital.
