In particular, PvcomBank's interest rate is currently at the highest level at 9.5% for a 12-month term, with conditions applied to a minimum deposit of VND 2,000 billion.
Next is HDBank with a fairly high interest rate, 8.1%/year for a 13-month term and 7.7% for a 12-month term, with a minimum balance of VND500 billion. This bank also applies a 6% interest rate for an 18-month term.
MSB also applies quite high interest rates with interest rates at bank counters up to 8%/year for 13-month term and 7% for 12-month term. The applicable conditions are that new savings books or savings books opened from January 1, 2018 automatically renew with a term of 12 months, 13 months and a deposit amount of 500 billion VND or more.
Dong A Bank has a deposit interest rate, term of 13 months or more, end-of-term interest with deposits of 200 billion VND or more, applying an interest rate of 7.5%/year.
Cake by VPBank applies an interest rate of 6.1% for a 12-month term; NCB, and OceanBank apply an interest rate of 6.1% for a 24-month term.
BVBank and Cake by VPBank also apply 6% interest rate for 24-month and 12-month terms; VRB applies 6% interest rate for 24-month terms; SaigonBank applies 6% interest rate for 13, 18 and 24-month terms, and 6.1% for 36-month terms.

Comparing the highest and lowest bank interest rates for 3-month, 6-month, 12-month, and 24-month terms, according to a survey by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the highest bank interest rate for 3-month terms is 4.3% for Cake by VPBank. Meanwhile, the lowest bank interest rate for 3-month terms is 1.9% for Vietcombank and SCB. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for 3-month terms is quite large, up to 2.4%.
The highest bank interest rate for a 6-month term is 5.5%, belonging to Cake by VPBank. The lowest interest rate for this term is 2.9% for Vietcombank and SCB. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for a 6-month term is 2.6%.
For the 12-month term, PVcomBank broke through with an interest rate of 9.5%, much higher than the highest rate of over 5% of some other banks. Meanwhile, SCB has the lowest interest rate for this term, at 3.7%, creating a difference of up to 5.8%.
For a 24-month term, the highest bank interest rate is 6.1% at NCB and OceanBank. The lowest interest rate is 3.9% at SCB. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for a 24-month term is 2.2%.
